1XBET to Back Nigerian Football Federation

As we’ve seen via other operators in recent weeks, Africa is fast becoming a popular destination in terms of sports sponsorship. Sport Pesa have been particularly active in this area, with a number of deals in their native Kenya while 1XBET are the latest to get on the African bandwagon.

The latest announcement sees 1XBET confirmed as an official partner of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), in an arrangement that will have wide reaching benefits for both sides.

What’s On Offer?

The exact terms of this contract have not been disclosed but high financial input is sure to be involved in a deal that offers full backing to the federation as a whole. We do know that the arrangement has been made for three years and gives 1XBET rights of association with the NFF and also the League Management Company (LMC) in Nigeria.

In return for their backing, the operator can look forward to increased exposure through a number of mediums. These will include digital advertising across the LMC and NFF websites along with more physical opportunities within various stadia on match day.

It’s therefore a deal with god balance and that’s why the parties involved have reacted with enthusiasm to the announcement.

Delighted

Shehu Dikko

LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko said:

We are delighted to have secured these partnerships. 1xBet is a global brand with a record of associating with football, and this underscores the progress Nigerian Football is making across all levels under the leadership of Amaju Melvin Pinnick, with the support of key stakeholders.

These giant strides emphasize what can be achieved under a stable football environment.

Head of Business Development at 1XBET Evgeniy Kiriushin replied:

Our objective and strategy has always been driven by the need to stand out from other brands by offering a unique and perfect user experience.

We see Nigeria as an emerging marketing with huge potential, and the partnerships with NFF and LMC offer us the opportunity to deepen our brand while supporting football development. Exciting times await Nigerian Football fans and sports-betting enthusiasts with the entry of 1xBet into the Nigerian market.

Global Improvement

This summer’s World Cup in Russia will see Nigeria compete in the biggest global tournament for the sixth time in their history. The Super Eagles are in a tough qualifying group with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland and it will therefore be a challenge for head coach Gernot Rohr and his team to equal their best ever position of a place in the Last 16 which the country has achieved on two separate occasions.

The contract between the federations and 1XBET is intended to improve the game from grassroots upwards but the ultimate aim is to help the national team build by qualifying for the World Cup on a more regular basis and going deeper into the tournament than they have up to this point.

To assist in this quest, the operator will be covering the cost of analysis software which will help coaches and scouts to identify and nurture the best talent in the country. The goals start at Russia 2018 and Nigeria certainly look better placed to build thanks to the involvement of 1XBET.
