Black Type Review
|Company Name||FSB Technology (UK) Ltd|
It’s always good to see a new bookmaker come along and get behind a UK market but Black Type have done more than most to establish themselves in a short space of time. Formed in 2016, this bookie was quickly accepted onto the main odds comparison sites so punters could see that they were among the most competitive in the industry on core sports.
Here in Great Britain, all of our favourite sports are taken care of so let’s look further at the Black Type operation and see what they have to offer.
Black Type Promotions
The best value in regards to promotions is geared up for those who want to be regular punters over the long term. There is a welcome offer but it is a fairly modest one with a £10.00 risk free opening bet when you register for a new account.
To claim it, players need to register for that new account and then make an opening bet at odds of at least 2.00 (Even Money). If they win, a profit is made and they move on but a loss will result in 2x free bet tokens coming back worth £5.00 each, one of which has to be used on the sportsbook and one at the Black Type casino.
Once on board as a confirmed customer, the offers start to improve with a weekly free bet club where a free token worth up to £50.00 can be claimed. In addition, Black Type offer an Acca Bonus where players can boost profits for four-fold wins by 5% while that figure lifts to 50% for wins with 13 selections or more and all profits are made in cash.
Sporting Markets and Odds Value
Here are the markets available at Black Type as of February 2018.
Clearly there are bigger lists around but all of the popular sports are here from a UK punters point of view and, of course, it’s pleasing to see that both horse racing and greyhound racing are catered for. Along with football and tennis, the events that attract most betting money are present and it’s really only the most obscure niches that have been left off the list.
As for their pricing, Black Type made that move to be included on the main odds comparison site so we’ve known for some time that they are competitive on all sports. For football in particular, they frequently quote a price that is longer than the rest but the value lies in all sports and they are rarely, if ever, out of step with the rest of the industry.
If there is one issue with Black Type at this early stage it’s the fact that no eWallets are available as deposit or withdrawal methods. While most of us have a debit and / or credit card that we can use to access our favourite betting brands, these are the only methods available here at the moment.
Hopefully the list will be built on in the near future.
Help options are fairly limited too and at the time of writing – February 2018 – there was no live chat facility available at Black Type. The customer support desk here can be contacted by email and replies seem to be prompt so that’s a positive but once again, some additional options would help in the months to come.
Black Type are very much a traditional bookmaker and as we’ve seen in certain areas, there are ‘no frills’ here. There is no huge bonus to entice punters in and additional features such as funding and customer support are fairly limited.
However, there is definite value here through the regular odds that are listed on a daily basis. For UK punters, that means regular, consistent value on the football and horse racing markets and that’s what most of us really want. That value is added to with some decent ongoing offers and overall, Black Type is a worthy addition to your range of sportsbook providers.
