Karamba Review

Karamba may be a new name to the UK betting fraternity but in fact, the company was formed way back in 2005. It’s fair to say that they’ve been laying low but those that have signed up with them are aware that this is a busy sportsbook and that there is lots to enjoy.

They are incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and licensed in Malta so let’s take a closer look at Karamba and see if you should be getting on board.

Sporting Markets and Odds Value

One thing you certainly shouldn’t be short of at Karamba is a sporting market, whether it’s a common option or something far more obscure. While the overall schedule is more in keeping with a mainland European bookie, there should be plenty for UK punters to enjoy in the following list:

Football, Basketball, Tennis, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Aussie Rules, Bandy, Badminton, Baseball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Floorball, American Football, Futsal, Gaelic Sports, Greyhound Racing, Handball, Golf, Horse Racing, MMA / UFC, Motor Racing, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker, Pool, Speedway, Surfing, Table Tennis, Trotting, Water Polo, Winter Sports.

Along with that impressive list there is a growing set of eSports markets plus some specials from the worlds of politics and entertainment. There really is something for every punter and from a UK perspective, it’s particularly good to see greyhounds and horse racing included.

It will clearly be some time before Karamba is included on the main odds comparison sites but early signs are certainly encouraging. Prices are certainly going to be competitive on core sports such as football and tennis but it doesn’t look like you will be out of step with the rest of the industry in any market.

Banking

Karamba provide a useful choice of funding options and while other new sportsbooks might have a wider choice of eWallets, all the main companies are here. You can therefore deposit to, or withdraw from your account using Skrill, Neteller or PaySafe and, of course, there is the option to use any of the main debit cards.

Many new operators start with a cards only set up so we think that this is a positive area and it’s good to see Karamba having a decent opening list.

Customer Service

This operator offers a good choice of customer support options but if we have one criticism, they are a little hard to find. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and you will find a button marked Contact Us. Click on this and your two options are Email or Live Chat.

Both have been quick and effective and it’s particularly encouraging to see live chat introduced so early in the operation. However, it would be good to see the chat button appear prominently on every page as it does with most operators.

Conclusion

While there may not be too much in the way of flashy offers and promotions, the key to a good relationship with Karamba lies in settling in for the longer term. This isn’t a ‘hit and run’ set up where you claim an opening offer and never come back: The bonuses lie in an extensive set of betting markets and some excellent odds that can compare with the established brands.

For UK punters, all of the favourite sports are here, including greyhounds and horse racing and with good back up from customer service and a choice of funding, there’s every good reason to add Karamba to your own sportsbook portfolio.

Pros

  • Really extensive choice of sporting markets including all of the UK betting community’s favourites
  • Good choice of funding options including all the main eWallets
  • Strong prices, particularly in the most popular sports

Cons

  • The relative lack of promotions may deter some punters but it’s all about long term value here
  • Help options can be hard to locate
