SportNation Sportsbook Review

More and more new bookmakers are taking the trouble to become licensed for UK customers and that growing list now includes SportNation. New for 2017, the sportsbook has something of a mainland European feel to it but there is lots here that would appeal to the British betting community including a good set of their most popular markets and a generous welcome bonus to kick things off.

SportNation Promotions

That bonus comes in the shape of a 50% match on opening credits which will climb up to £100.00 in bonus funds at the top end. It only requires an entry level deposit of £20.00 in which case you would get £10.00 back but if you are happy to fund £200.00, you will get that maximum return of £100.00.

There is a rollover requirement with this and players have 30 days in which to wager through the bonus and deposit combined at least seven times at minimum odds of Even Money.

SportNation don’t seem to have any fixed promotions for existing customers but there have been a number of interesting one offs with refunds on football and some price boosts so there is definite extra value here.

Sporting Markets and Odds Value

The following is a comprehensive list of sporting market options and it’s one that will defbitely have some appeal for UK punters.

Soccer, Horse Racing, Tennis, Golf, Rugby League, Rugby Union, American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Athletics, Aussie Rules Football, Badminton, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Handball, Ice Hockey, MMA, Motor Racing, Snooker, Pool, Speedway, Surfing, Table Tennis, Trotting, Volleyball, Water Polo and Winter Sports.

The first point to note therefore is that horse racing is here and that’s really good to see at a time when many bookies are avoiding anything on four legs. All of the popular options remains and there are some useful niches together with eSports and novelty bets if you want them.

Odds appear very good at this early stage, particularly on our most loved sports such as football and horse racing but in general, SportNation should be very competitive no matter what you’re looking to bet on.

Banking

One area that could definitely be improved is the list of banking options which, at the time of writing, is just limited to bank transfers plus any of the major debit cards.

That should provide a route into SportNation for most of us but it would certainly be good to see some eWallets – at least the main providers Skrill and Neteller.

Customer Service

A live chat button floats at the bottom right of the screen whenever you land on the SportNation home page and you can easily click on this and access the answers to the majority of your issues in the shortest space of time.

As an alternative, a contact button at the bottom right will give you a customer support email while there is also a list of FAQs. These are fairly basic but are easy to follow and overall this is another positive area of the SportNation website.

Conclusion

It’s unusual for a new bookmaker to get everything right when they first come online but SportNation have come pretty close. That welcome offer is one of the best out there with its £100.00 maximum bonus and while it does have a 7x rollover, that should be no issue for regular players.

There are ongoing promos too and good prices in one of the better lists of markets out there and while that small list of funding issues can be addressed, that really is a minor issue in what is a positive review overall.

Pros (+):

  • Welcome offer worth up to £100.00 as a 50% match on first deposit
  • Good choice of markets including horse racing and football with strong prices in all options
  • Choice of effective customer service options
  • Set of ongoing offers, issued as ‘one-offs’

Cons (-):

  • A of August 2017, deposits and withdrawals can only be made with debit cards or bank transfer.
