KB88 Sign Up with AS Roma

Table of Contents

In recent weeks, Italy’s Serie A has arguably been the busiest of leagues in terms of sponsor deals and commercial partnership arrangements. Both Milan clubs have moved to strengthen their portfolio while reigning champions Juventus have been particularly active as they look to extend their domestic Italian dominance.

Now it’s the turn of AS Roma who’s recently announced partnership with KB88 is aiming to increase their exposure in what is a key area for all football clubs.

Regional Deal

Under the terms of the contract, KB88 will now become Roma’s official betting partner for the Asian region in a deal which promises to build the brand of both companies across that important area. Asia is, quite simply, football mad and the commercial possibilities for a football club to make themselves known there are huge.

KB88 already has some focus in the region and that will help but it’s a positive move for both brands. Fans of AS Roma and customers of KB88 in general are also lined up to benefit from this announcement with the operator promising a number of activities and offers which will help the supporters get closer to the club.

Finances

Financial details have not been released and while we are used to that type of approach, both parties are unusually quiet when it comes to the length of the contract. We are therefore unclear as to the period but financially this would comfortably be a seven figure sum and one that could help AS Roma to compete in the higher reaches of Serie A.

This is a club that tends to play in the shadow of the bigger teams such as Juve and the Milan pairing of AC and Inter but they have achieved some notable successes across their long history. Roma have so far won three Serie A titles with the last of these coming relatively recently in 2001. They have also won the Italian Cup on nine separate occasions including back to back wins in the mid-2000s.

They also have a strong squad that competes well in Europe but so far, success outside of their native Italy has eluded them. The financial benefits of any deal will help the club’s owners to improve that squad and the first aim will be to challenge Juventus who are currently dominating the domestic scene.

Goals

Speaking on behalf of KB88.com, representative Ben Davies said:

Serie A is well-followed in Asia and AS Roma is an outstanding team. Through this partnership we are confident that our brand can reach new heights.

In reply, AS Roma, acknowledged the part that the betting brand would play as they look to make inroads in such an important region.

This is a new and important partnership in a fast-growing market like Asia, where we are expecting to see a lot of new opportunities in the coming years.

their CMO Luca Danovaro, added.

KB88.com will be an ideal partner, one that has both popularity and experience in providing activities for the Asian public.

We’ve discussed the goals for AS Roma while for KB88, it’s a case of making their brand more widely recognised and this contract should certainly help them to do just that. Advertising will be seen in the club’s home stadium where tens of thousands will attend on matchdays. And, if they back up their promises with some offers and promotions for Roma supporters then the operator will certainly be onside with that fanbase.

This should also help both parties on a wider level and their targeting of Asia is a sensible move. It will therefore be interesting to see if this arrangement is extended beyond the current season and whether it will be successful in helping both AS Roma and KB88.com to achieve their intended aims.
